CIVIL ENGINEER

- You will use civil engineering software for the completion of design drawings, specifications, and other civil engineering projects.
- You will apply civil engineering theories, concepts, and practices to the repair, restoration, and/or alteration of existing facilities.
- You will formulate and present special reports and formal briefings concerning the status of civil engineering and construction projects.
- You will investigate, evaluate, advise on, and resolve unusual problems and issues regarding projects for new construction, renovation, preservation, and restoration.
- You will provide technical guidance on facility designs, construction, operation, and modification.
Requirements
In addition to the Basic Education Requirements, your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Applying civil engineering theories, concepts, regulations, and practices to deliver products and services; 2) Providing technical guidance in developing civil engineering and construction projects; 3) Developing and presenting technical data, studies, and reports on engineering projects.
