Financial Program Specialist NF-04
This position is located at Aberdeen Proving Ground South (Edgewood, MD). Incentives and Bonuses Incentives will not be paid.
- Responsible for preparing and tracking customer account receivables.
- Identifies problems with document flow, e.g. daily activity reports, end of month reports, transfer between activities, etc. Assists in the analysis and evaluation of findings, determining corrective or improvement actions needed.
- Maintains subsidiary ledgers for accounts receivable, accounts payable, income, expenses, and accruals. Correct, reclassify and verify erroneous situations referring complex errors/problems to the Financial Branch Chief.
- Assist in the execution and monitoring of annual operating budgets. Provides annual operating budget support by accumulating, processing, compilation and consolidation of financial data.
- Assist in the coordination and preparation of required financial annual audit. Provides assistance with formal financial reports.
Requirements

A qualified candidate must possess the following: Possess minimum of 12 months of progressively specialized experience directly related to the duties described above in budget or finance that provided the applicant the knowledge of regulations on budgetary processes and requirements. Qualifying experience must have been equivalent to the next lower grade level in the normal line of progression. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office software. In addition to the above qualifications, candidates who possess the following qualifications will be considered "Highly Preferred" or "Best Qualified": Possess minimum of 36 months of progressively specialized experience directly related to the duties described above in budget or finance that provided the applicant the knowledge of regulations on budgetary processes and requirements. Bachelor's degree in accounting, financial management, or related discipline. Familiar with budgetary operations within a Non-appropriated Fund agency. Experience working with like systems: eFileRoom, US Bank, Financial Management Budget System (FMBS), Standard Management Information Reports for Finance (SMIRF).
